Westpac Rescue Helicopters

The funds raised from this event will be used for the ongoing operational costs of the Westpac Rescue Helicopter. The running costs for most helicopter rescues are between $3,000 and $7,000 per hour.

Westpac Chopper Appeal

There are 16 rescue helicopter trusts in NZ. Westpac is the naming rights sponsor of the Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington and Christchurch Rescue Helicopter services and an associate sponsor of the West Coast, Tauranga, Taupo, Palmerston North and Rotorua Trusts.
